A scorching weekend in Zuiderpark, with a broad line-up and Skunk Anansie delivering one of its most physical festival moments.
Parkpop 2019 combined the ticketed Saturday evening with the major free festival on Sunday. DI-RECT, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Tears for Fears and Triggerfinger appeared alongside newer Dutch acts and international names. Temperatures rose above thirty degrees, but barely slowed the crowd. Skin crowdsurfing during Skunk Anansie became the image that best captured the intensity and closeness of this edition.
