The story
Dauwpop is all about contrast. Established names and new discoveries, heavy guitars and smaller moments, packed stages and everything happening in between.
On 29 May 2026, I photographed a broad cross-section of the festival. From the intensity of Skunk Anansie on stage to artists such as Heidi Curtis and My Baby. The focus is not only on the artist, but also on the light, interaction and environment that shape each performance.
That combination is what makes festival photography interesting: not simply documenting individual shows, but creating images that together convey what a festival day felt like. Close-ups, wide shots, movement and atmosphere complement each other and create a visual story that goes beyond the stage.
